Summer Music Week is five-day event for students and teachers from Belize City and beyond. There will be classes in violin, viola, cello, percussion, art, theory, and chamber.
Basic Information

Held in-person at Pallotti School of Music on Princess Margaret Drive in Belize City. Parking is available on the compound.
What to have: Students should have what they normally bring to a lesson. One parent or guardian is expected to stay with their child for the entirety of the sessions.
What to wear: Wear something comfortable to move and participate as you would in any class. Masks are optional but encouraged.

Student Activities
- Masterclasses, group classes, chamber, percussion, art, and Music Mind Games
- Masterclasses – During the masterclasses, students take turns performing for a master teacher and receive feedback in front of their peers. For the remainder of the class, they learn through observation. Masterclasses will be held every day.
- Group Classes – In a group class, students review common repertoire by joining in fun activities with their peers.
- Music Mind Games – Music Mind Games is an innovative method for teaching music literacy and Music theory. The creative teaching sequence, nurturing philosophy, colorful materials, and original games are used in schools, studios, choirs, and camps worldwide.
- Students will explore a variety of tuned and untuned, percussion instruments

- Monday, July 1, 2024 Practice techniques (1 hour)
- Wednesday, July 3, 2024 – Performance preparation and Managing pain (2 hours)
- Thursday July 4, 2024– Vibrato and Improv (2 hours)
- Friday, July 5, 2024 – Recital
There will also be masterclasses and Chamber for teachers.
Teachers are welcomed to observe classes.
